Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She is currently a fighter in the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight title holder as well as UFC fellow fighter is her elder sister. Antonina Shevchenko is who is a Muay Thai Kickboxer began her career in fight sport at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko took the title with a unanimous victory over Suzane Miller. Antonina continued her career by winning a silver and bronze medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, and a gold medal in 2011, and the 2016 IFMA amateur world champion. Antonia has started her career as a professional in 2003, was crowned in 2012 and 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She took the fight by TKO after round two and her subsequent 2 matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA to focus on her kickboxing and came back against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa by a unanimous vote. She went on to defeat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. The promotion ended in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized superior strikes to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the clinch. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi by an unanimous decision. She then fell in her second bout due to the split decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the evening for this bout. Shevchenko lost 1-2 over the next three fights, defeating Ariane Lipski before falling to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
